The mission of The Ruby Thorp Foundation is simple: provide free Bibles, resources, and educational tools to children and youth around the world, free of charge. The inspiration for the ministry comes from the one who bears its name.

Ruby Thorp was an amazing example of what a true follower of Jesus Christ should be. Some would say she was an angel on earth because of her kindness, love, and concern for others. Although, she wasn't a world-renowned evangelist, famous author, or high profile pastor, she was a person of major influence to those around her, as well as a powerful prayer warrior that affected countless people throughout the world. She carried out the the pure work of God and was a testimony of the Christian faith.

Coupled with that Godly servanthood, Ruby had a deep love for children, especially her grandchildren. She made sure that each one understood how to have a relationship with God by accepting Jesus as their savior. Every time they went to Grandad's and Grandma's house, they would watch her faithfully read her Bible, listen to gospel music and preachers on the radio, learn how to pray, and experience the peace of the Holy Spirit. Her love for children spread into her church, teaching Bible stories, sharing the love of Christ, and praying for countless little ones, both locally as well as mission work around the globe.

Ruby was born in 1911, and passed in 1974 after tragically losing her battle with cancer. Her life was a testament as to how one person can impact many by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ with passion, persistence, and prayer.  Her legacy lives on, and is the guiding light for The Ruby Thorp Foundation.
